This week I decided that my ice tongs was a bit too bland and needed some bling. I bought myself a pack of stick on diamantes to embellish my tongs, I’ve seen these on blogs and thought they looked very striking.
These muffins are my first attempt at recipe development and I must say, they are really good. They are filling, not sweet and can be frozen. These hearty muffins are ideal for an on the go breakfast snack when time is against you.
Go ahead and try these delicious, hearty muffins. Best served straight out of the oven with some butter.
This is my one way to make butternut taste even better by adding some extra ingredients. I’ve seen this done with sweet potatoes and adapted it to butternut squash.
These are my absolute favorite cookies of ALL TIME. Whenever I make these I think of my childhood days and Christmas holidays. These are one of the few recipes my mom made and I think the first cookies I’ve made as well.
What a color for 2015! I absolutely love this color, Marsala. This would be great as an autumn color wedding but I think it would be great as a summer wedding color as well. Marsala paired with grey or even cream would be just as gorgeous.
Have a look at images below to get your creativity going.
Today I share my favourites with you. I love weddings and wedding decor and this week I was looking at chair back covers and I’d like to share my favourites with you.
Mayonnaise, is the latest challenge in my culinary adventures.
I have been wanting to make this for a while now and I finally tried it and here is the result. This is my second attempt and both times its been a success. This recipe is very sour because of the amount of lemon juice, but I love the lemony taste. Added to just cooked pasta you hardly taste it, but if its too sour just substitute some of the the lemon juice with water.
I totally love working in my kitchen and trying new things. This week’s challenge… home made mayonnaise!!! I love mayo with everything… yes… I am one of those… ? Anyway. For this meal I cut the butternut into strips and fried them in about a teaspoon of canola oil. Once fried I sprinkled it with mixed herbs. They taste amazing. You can even leave them slightly crunchy. Delish.
I am not a big lover of eggs, but when I do eat them I like to go all out. This week I wanted to make myself a light lunch and decided on a poached egg. I love these as they are quicker to make than hard boiled eggs and not as oily as scrambled eggs or fried eggs.
