It’s been a long while since I’ve posted on my blog for 2 reasons.
Life is just getting busy and my camera has been away for repairs for the past 2 months and I’ve missed it so much. This weekend the husband and I went on a drive to just get out of the house. We ended up driving through Llundadno beach. The weather didn’t help much and it left us with a not so spectacular sunset which we are so accustomed to in Cape Town.
These are my memories of the weekend.
I learnt how to tie these bows a few years ago and they are awesome. Make a few in advance for the days you just need to grab and go.

There is nothing better than a bowl of warm soup and fresh bread on a day that you need a pick me up, or watching movies on a cold (or warm day). Going through My Culinary Adventure, my next phase is soups. Trying my hand at potato & leek soup and now butternut soup.
Wedding season is almost here. I love the combination of blue and green, even though they are next to each other on the color wheel, they do complement each other so well. These colors are just so fresh and adds something different to a very formal occasion.
I’ve added the slate or grey color as a break between the blue and the green but it could possibly be complemented by white.
I’ve made some party favors with the same color scheme which you will find here.
I LOVE french toast, my husband not so much but for breakfast yesterday I made these on the fly, and he had TWO. I used what was on hand at that moment and forgot to add the bacon to the egg mixture, so we had it as a side.
These are a such a cute way of presenting guests with treats as thank yous at your next function, and they are so easy to make. You could possibly do these in an afternoon.
I really love the science of baking and how all ingredients, when combined, makes for something very enjoyable. It truly is an exciting feeling when you see (and get to eat) the end result. I have been on this journey of recipe development for a while now and I am so thrilled with the results.
